Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. A 'New Edition'. This copy was part of 'Longman's Library' and has purple stamps on some of the prelims. In very good dark green cloth boards, with blind stamped ship to front and gilt decoration and titles to spine. The boards are firm, flat and quite clean and with slight wear to spi…ne ends. The free end papers are lightly tanned; the front free end paper has name of former owner. The text block is tightly bound and even and the end pages and some of the prelims are a little tanned. Very good condition, With sepia frontispiece with tissue guard by Richard Doyle of "Under the Dock Leaves". Without jacket. Richard Doyle (illustrator).
