Quarto 10'' x 7½''. Contains 96 printed pages of text with full-page and part-page colour and monochrome illustrations and photographs throughout. First story is 'Peterkin' by Sheila E. Braine. Marjorie Slade was one of the comic artists who drew for the British comic magazine All Girl Comics in the 1950s. Girl was a sister publication to Eagle, published by Hulton Press from 1951 until 1960. SIGNED by her to the verso of the colour frontispiece 'From Auntie Madge - To Millie, Christmas 1924'. Small stain to the centre of the right-hand front cover, minor rubs to the corners and in Very Good clean and sharp condition, no dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A. CHILDREN'S & JUVENILE.
