Inscribed with a signed note of thenks to Poet and then Franklin & Marshall college professor of Literature, Sanford Pinsker. Markowicz had studied at seminary in Ann Arbor, at Duquesne University and then studied theology at St. Mary's seminary, Norwalk, Conn, He subsequently received a Masters and then a PH.D degree in 1972 form the University of Pennsylvania. He submitted this collection of poems for his MA while he was a tenured professor at Lebanon Valley College. A great many of the poems draw on his experiences as a seminarian.
