A primeira parte analisa a recepção das mulheres na Escola de Arte e Design de Glasgow e na Bauhaus. Enquanto na primeira elas eram bem recebidas, embora tenham sido apagadas da História, na Bauhaus foram relegadas ao ateliê de cerâmica e ao de tapeçaria. Marta Erps-Breuer, ex-aluna da Bauhaus e ex-mulher de Marcel Breuer, trabalhou como designer científica até 1974, na Universidade de São Paulo (USP), sem que os cursos de Arte a tivessem descoberto. Até hoje suas tapeçarias são vendidas em galerias de arte na Alemanha. Na segunda parte, vários autores falam das mulheres Arte/Educadoras que iniciaram seu trabalho ou que estavam no auge de suas carreiras nos anos 1960. Por fim, na terceira parte, diversos Arte/ Educadores publicam entrevistas com mulheres que foram responsáveis pela modernização do Ensino das Artes Visuais.
