pp. vi, (ii), 260. Follding, coloured Botanical map, 2 full-page maps. A Geological map is listed but not present. It was added to a pocket in the cover when the book was cloth-bound. As this copy is in paper wraps, I assume that it was considered too fragile to take such. Original paper wraps, label on spine, front cover coming… off, text uncut and unopened, paperspine label and spine worn at the ends, mostly in good plus condition.

In 1954 he was instrumental in securing Gilbert White's home, The Wakes, as a museum.
