Top edge gilt. This is number 205 of 1000 copies. Color plate tipped in as frontispiece. TItle page dated 1924. 36 text pages plus 87 pages of plates, most of which are black and white, but a few of which are color plates tipped down on vellum-like pages. Binding good and tight. A nice clean copy. Measures slightly larger than 10 x 12.5 inches. Introduction by Sir Frederick H. Sykes. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Spine is age darkened with bumping to ends. Mild foxing to the page edges. Age discolouration to endpages. Front inner hinge is cracked, but holding. B/w frontispiece. Textblock has one or two grubby marks but is generally clean. 521 pp + adverts. Previous owner's mark to ffep.
