Some splitting to the front and rear hinge papers and separations between a few pages but the binding remains tight and intact. Heavily illustrated. Beautiful covers and spine printed in gold and black. This copy is from a 19th Century private lending institution, the Mercantile Library of New York City. There are no external indications of the library's ownership. A handwritten number and Mercantile Library stamp are on the title page and some of the internal pages.

Gilt is bright but boards are worn to edges with bumping to corners. Spine a little dulled with two puncture marks; rear has blind embossed arms. 8vo. 256pp.
