Il dût s'exiler de France après avoir séduit la nièce d'une abbesse. Il se querella avec Voltaire. Il traduisit des ouvrages. Le Chef d?oeuvre d?un Inconnu parut anonymement en 1714, fut d'abord attribué à Fontenelle. Bon état.
