Max was a former Poet Laureate of Baltimore and former President of Max Rubin Clothing City, headquartered in New York City. Each poem ends with the date and time it was written, some of the poems also have the name of the city. A couple of examples of poems in this book: "The American Flag, One Nation - One Faith - One People" has seven stanzas, dated February 28, 1964, "HERE In the Holy Land" dated April 30, 1966 4: 00 p. M. Etc.
