His best known works include a series of novels set in Graustark, a fictional East European country, and the novel Brewster's Millions, published under his pen name Richard P. Greaves, which was adapted into a play and several films. McCutcheon, born and educated in Indiana, along with a number of other Indiana authors of the same period, is considered to be part of the Golden Age of Indiana Literature. Interior is tight, clean and, except for POS & markings in pencil on ffep, unmarked. Hardcover has red cloth boards with black & gold lettering and designs, but no DJ. Top page-edge is tinted gold and other edges deckled, sign of quality at dated of publishing, Copyright 1903. Stated issued April 20, 1903 with 1903 on front of title page. No ISBN, LCCN nor MSP.
