The principal typefaces are Century Schoolbook and Italic, Century Schoolbook Bold, and News Gothic, with Caledonia Bold on the title page and Craw Clarendon on the outside. Point and pica measurements have been used where applicable. It was typed by the author into an IBM Personal Computer, using WordPerfect 5.1, coded for typesetting by the publisher, and output on a Linotron 202 by Chronicle Type & Design, Washington, DC., who also did all the paste-up work. PMTs of the type specimens were made by Modern Reproductions, Inc., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The book was printed and bound by Braun-Brumfield, Inc., Ann Arbor, Michigan. Layout was done by the author, and the type on the cover is assembled from his collection photographed by Hardman Eastman Studios, Inc., Pittsburgh."--Colophon/ Includes bibliographical references and index.
