Das aus dieser Arbeit entwickelte ikonografische Modell des USAF-Hangars war ein tatsächlicher 'Wendepunkt im Bauen': Die entworfene Struktur stellt ein nahezu futuristisches Versprechen einer voll industrialisierten Baukultur dar, deren Bildhaftigkeit zugleich unmittelbare Grundlage diverser Architekturavantgarden wurde.
