Number 3 in the Toucan Novels series. 30th thousand stated on the front cover with the first eight titles in the series on the back cover. Probably the first printing. Originally published in hard covers in 1934. The author also published crime novels under the name Anne Hocking. Quite rare in any early edition. The spine has some reading creasing, staining and light chipping at the top and bottom. Browning to the white panel on the front cover but otherwise only light surface wear to the covers. Browning to the page edges. The covers are pulling away from the text block at the front of the book but the binding is secure enough. The insides of the covers have a little browning. Quite a bit of brown spotting to the first and last pages both of which have small circular holes torn in them where the page has been stuck to the inside of the cover and there is also a little edge tearing to these pages. The pages are browned but are otherwise unmarked.
