The company produced both medicines and patent medicines. Among Miles Laboratories' products were Dr. Miles Nervine, Alka-Seltzer, and One-A-Day vitamins. The company changed its name in 1932 to Dr. Miles Laboratories and again in 1935 to Miles Laboratories. Miles Laboratories operated independently from its founding until 1979 when it became a subsidiary of Bayer AG. From 1979-1995, Bayer AG was the parent company of Miles Laboratories. In 1995, Miles Laboratories became defunct when it was consolidated into Bayer AG.
