First edition of these remarkably scarce service manuals for the iconic Wurlitzer 1015 Jukebox model, with arching side, top, and center tubes formed of fabricated plastic breaking away from the pre-War Art Nouveau decorative models. The 1946 post-War Fuller design was considered to be one of the "most animated" jukeboxes ever made, featuring the tubes filled with a chemical selected for low boiling point and small eaters attached which created the effect. The model was a smash success, with enormous pent-up demand, and Wurlitzer shipping 56,246 of the models from 1946-1947. The service manual encompasses not only specifications and description with wiring diagrams, but also how to properly install the unit, make adjustments, maintain the Jukebox properly, and exploded view parts catalogue. The Bar Box Model 2140 was the wall and counter unit designed for the famed "Bubbler" and also featured nickel-plated streamlined case, red plastic selector buttons, and 24 titles, and designed to increase revenue at 10˘ and 25˘ play options. Original editions are very uncommon, and not to be confused with the often mis-dated and much later 1978 Vestal Press, or the 1985 Jukebox Trader printings; Worldcat locates 1 copy of 1946 original (Toronto Public), 1 copy of the 2nd volume (Hagley); See: Kerry Segrave, Jukeboxes: An American Social History; Wurlitzer, Jukebox History (2020).
