Illustrator not credited. 16 chapters outlining Shakespeare's life and a few chapters on the major plays. One of the most interesting chapters is 'Stratford on Avon as it is today' At the turn of the 20th century the author recommends taking a tramcar from Leamington Spa and then walking 8 miles to Stratford. Very interesting illustrations of buildings connected with Shakespeare as they appeared then. 222pp Hardback. 19cm x 12cm. A prize bookplate [blank I think] has been pasted over with the free fep. o/w/ VG in sl rubbed and bumped bluish boards, gilt lettering on spine, blue lettering and logo on front.
