Pale green cloth over boards with faded color design and gilt titles, Some light edge wear with bumped corners and some aging and soiling to surface. Some interior foxing and toning. Book is square and securely bound. Overall, about VG. The copyright on this novella was held by the American Baptist Publication Society, and, while the book is in dialect, it seems to be an attempt at racial understanding. The illustrations of black charaters are not stereotped, and the story deals with a sympathetic, black character who is paralyzed.
