Faded dust jacket, has some browning, no tears in good condition. Interior is clean and bright and the binding is tight. A semi-historical tale.     Condition: Near Fine. Winston-Salem, NC?: 1965. Original graphite pencil drawing of two individuals on board (29x22 cm). Mild soiling near artist signature and verso has paper attached glue spots likely from previous mounting it was peeled from and lot number on blue tape, but drawing itself crisp and clear; Near Fine. From the North Carolina estate of Mitzi and Ed Shewmake, both artists. Mitzi was an active member of her community, helped found the artist cooperative that paved the way for downtown Winston-Salem's art district, full-time faculty in the art department at Winston-Salem State University, and was also involved in supporting multiple non-violent protests for equality and civil rights. A sweet surreal portrait of a magical looking pair.
