Purple boards, pictorial paper label on front cover. Some sunning at edges, end papers foxed, a clean very good copy in the pictorial dust jacket which is yellowed at folds, and missing a chip from the upper front cover at the spine, and has a long closed tear in the front panel. Illustrated with striking colour plates by Sgt. J.W. Lambert, who transcribed and illustrated these war poems in a POW camp in Germany. Text is printed in red & black; the plates are tipped-in onto plain gray leaves.
