The Norwegian North Sea Expedition took place over the years 1876-8, with the participation of a team of experts that included Professors G. D. Sars and H. Mohn. The present supplement to Petermann's Mittheilungen contains results of the plumbing and deep sea temperature observations from the expedition. The map collates information from Swedish, British and Norwegian expeditions of the period.
