Original violet-brown blindstamped decorative cloth, stamped gilt lettering, 291 pp, no illustrations. Hardcover, fair. Soil and drop marks on cloth, an approximately ½ x 5 inch black ink(? ) stain on rear board, spine faded, approximately 1/8th inch fraying at head and foot, corners bumped with a bit of cardboard exposed there. Internally, MISSING TITLE PAGE AND PAGES I-X, foxing throughout, 1 to 3 inch light tan stain on lower corners, rear hinge cracked, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked.
