Rilegato. Condition: molto buono. Lugduni, sub Scuto Coloniensi, 1545 (al colophon: excudebat Ioannes et Franciscus Frellonii, fratres. Anno 1545). 2 volumi in 1 in-8° (17,8 cm x 10,7 cm). (60), 431, (1); (40), 285, (3). Segnatura: a-c8, d6, A-2D8; a-b8, c4, A-S8 (S8 bianca). Solida legatura parlante coeva in piena pelle scura,…inconsueto medaglione policromo in nero e oro al centro di entrambi i piatti inquadrati da un doppio filetto impresso a secco con fleuron dorati agli angoli, nomi di entrambi gli Autori impressi in oro sul piatto anteriore (dorso abilmente consolidato). Iniziali figurate. Un leggerissimo segno di sporco al margine superiore bianco delle prime 2 o 3 pp. della 1° opera, peraltro esemplare in più che buono stato di conservazione generale nella sua affascinante legatura coeva. Bella riunione di due opere curate e commentate dal giurista parigino Charles du Moulin, latinizzato Molinaeus. La prima è del giurista milanese Filippo Decio, illustre civilista e canonista, che insegnò a Pisa e Siena, ebbe tra i suoi discepoli uomini di grandezza indiscussa come Leone X, Cesare Borgia e soprattutto Francesco Guicciardini. In Francia venne nominato Consigliere del Parlamento da Luigi XII e insegnò a Bourges e a Valencia. La seconda opera è del giureconsulto toscano Dino Rossoni (detto Dino del Mugello) che insegnò diritto civile e canonico a Pistoia, Bologna, Roma e forse Siena. Nel 1297, chiamato da Bonifacio VIII a Roma, risulta abbia compilato il titolo di De regulis iuris, ricavato in gran parte dal diritto romano. Tornato l'anno seguente a Bologna, vi morì poco dopo. Nelle sue opere mostra i primi segni di un critico distacco dalla metodologia della glossa accursiana.

Esemplare un po' corto nel margine superiore con rifilatura che interessa qualche parola nei titoli in testa alle pagine. Minime mende e spellature alla legatura, qualche trascurabile alone marginale e macchiette sparse, peraltro nel complesso esemplare ben conservato. Prima opera: Dino del Mugello, glossatore civilista della seconda metà del Duecento fu maestro di Cino da Pistoia ed Oldrado da Ponte e verosimilmente autore del titolo De regulis iuris del Liber Sextus di Bonifacio VIII. L'opera fu il modello ideale proprio per la dottrina di Filippo Decio. Quest'edizione raccoglie le annotazioni di Boerius e Molinaeus (in questo esemplare insolitamente non censurate) ,due fra i più stimati giureconsulti della prima metà del Cinquecento francese. Opera rara e molto ricercata. Cfr. Iccu; non in sapori. Seconda opera: Filippo Decio (1454-1535), celebre commentatore civilista e canonista, insegnò a Pisa, Pavia, Siena, Padova e Roma. Ebbe come discepoli uomini di grandezza indiscussa come Leone X, Cesare Borgia e soprattutto Francesco Guicciardini. Questi commentari sulle regole di diritto civile rappresentarono un punto di riferimento non solo per la dottrina strettamente giuridica, ma divennero ben presto modello per chi al diritto s'avvicinava senza spirito tecnicista e piuttosto con finalità politiche. Dino del Mugello, il cui vero nome è Dino Rossoni (Mugello 1253 - Bologna, 1303, o comunque dopo questa data), addottoratosi a Bologna, fu giurista e professore di diritto civile a Pistoia e Bologna, e più tardi forse anche a Siena.
