Copia in ottimo stato di un libro non comune -- Nel 1969 venne stampato per la prima volta il "Libro di Thoth", un mazzo di tarocchi fatto dipingere dal magista…e filosofo Aleister Crowley alla pittrice Frieda Harris, sua discepola. La grafica modernissima, quasi surrealista, ne decretò il successo immediato presso le giovani generazioni. Ma il testo che doveva spiegare il senso delle 78 misteriose figure era di difficile comprensione interpretativa. Questo volume, oggi edito in veste rinnovata a un decennio dalla sua prima pubblicazione, rappresenta il primo studio profondo e chiarificatore sul "Libro di Thoth". L'opera, redatta da uno storico delle tradizioni esoteriche e folcloriche, da un esoterista esponente della medesima Scuola magica di Crowley e da un abile manipolatore d'interpretazioni oracolari, si apre con una circostanziata biografia di Crowley e prosegue con una dettagliata analisi ermetico-kabbalistica di ogni arcano maggiore del mazzo. Una serie d'indicazioni a sfondo magico e divinatorio per l'utilizzto operativo degli arcani la completano. Il "Libro di Thoth" ci viene così esplicato come un mezzo per dominare la realtà, uno strumento per esplorare l'avvenire e un gioco che aiuta a scoprire le potenzialità inespresse di chiunque abbia il piacere e la dedizione di consultarlo. Fu questo l'ultimo testamento magico della "Grande Bestia" Aleister Crowley: 78 "icone viventi" che spalancano una finestra su altre dimensioni dell'essere, dominate dalla magia dell'amore sotto la volontà.
