6. Anvers ( Antwerpen ) , Compagnie Maritime Belge, 1938, album , oblong format, 20,5 x 29,5 cm, (6) nn pp + 16 full page photo engravings. Original printed brown-grey wrapper with printed title on front cover. Bound with a red silk tie. The large photo engravings were printed by ''Phototypie Ernest Thill - Bruxelles'' and have a glossy finish. The quality is such that they are hardly distinguisable from an original photograph. They show the Antwerp head office, the launching of a ship and the ships and their interiors. These three vessels were built just before the second world war to be used on the route Antwerp-South America. They were freighters with a large passengers accomodation in two classes. The ships were scrapped in the early 1970's ; two of them after being sold to communist Germany were they finished their career as the '' Theodore Korner '' and the '' Heinrich Heine ''. A very finely illustrated album in perfect state of preservation.
