He asks Disderi "de lui envoyer deux collections des huit vues de Claremont [an earlier refuge in England] & Weybridge qu'il a fait en avril dernier, et un exemplaire du groupe general sur la pelouse de Claremont." He doesn't want t…he latter mounted but "l'autre collection doit etre montee sur carton." He asks for a "note au compte" made out to him. Note: Apparently Disderi pioneered the carte de visite.

A tort ou à raison, il passait pour un partisan des idées de l'Ancien Régime, pour un prince d'un caractère froid et fier, ce qui l'avait fait surnommer le gentilhomme de la famille. L.A.S. sur papier de deuil, au baron de Sers, qui fut préfet de la Moselle, puis de la Gironde et Pair de France. Légers plis.

The first column introduces the problem, and is followed by a 'Lettre de M. DUPIN ainé, au Prince Président de la République', dated 'Paris, ce 23 Janvier, 1852'. This is… in turn followed by a letter 'Au Prince-Président de la République', Paris, 26 January 1852 by five 'Les executeurs testamentaires du feu Roi Louis Phillippe'. They are: Dupin, Duc de Montmorency, Comte de Montalivet, Laplagne-Barris, Scribe. There is a final letter from Louis d'Orléans (Duc de Nemours) and Fr. d'Orléans (Prince de Joinville), 'A M. M. les Exécuteurs Testamentaires du Roi Louis Philippe. | Claremont, le 29 Janvier, 1852.' Scarce: no copy on COPAC, and the only copies on OCLC at Michigan, Strasbourg and the Bibliotheque Nationale. The last of the three is described thus: 'Imprimés recto-verso sur deux colonnes, textes anonymes ou signés de "Dupin" seul, ou de tous les "exécuteurs testamentaires, du feu Roi Louis-Philippe" : Dupin, Duc de Montmorency, Comte de Montalivet, Laplagne-Barris et Scribe, ou encore de "Louis d'Orléans (Duc de Nemours)" et de "Fr. d'Orléans (Prince de Joinville)." Ces documents sont datés du 23 au 29 janv. 1852. Aucune adresse. - Feuille volante'.
