Very good, spine hear chipped, several pages at the outside of the volume have tanned corners (caused by the leather used on the corners), slight rippling to pages throughout, endpapers heavily wrinkled and bubbled. 23x14.5x2.8 cm. 398 pp. 8vo., Contemporary half sheep over marbled boards, red and black spine labels, with gilt title.

Rebound in dark olive buckram cloth (1940s/50s?) with new endpapers and flyleaves; strong abrasions to surface cloth of front board and spine; spine has two discolored patches evidencing missing title and year labels; edge-chipped and scuffed gilt ownership sticker "Americana Library | Lucius Bryan Dabney | 'Belmont'" affixed near spine heel; lightly soiled rear board has surface abrasion isolated to edges/margins. Some toning/foxing and small stains to text block edges. Some foxing and soiling to interior leaves with shallow chipping/creasing at top fore-edge corners. Bookplate of Lucius Bryan Dabney on front pastedown.
