Book
Hardcover. Condition: Very good. No Jacket. C.R.W. Nevinson (illustrator). Illus., cartoons, poetry; 328pp; title loose. 8vo orig. cloth gilt, This large hospital was set up in the Royal Patriotic School to treat soldiers when the Territorial forces joined the war. This journal was written mainly by RAMC orderlies chiefly from the Chelsea Arts club, which probably explains why the journal was so well produced. It contains illustrations by C.R.W. Nevinson, as well as by H.M. Bateman. Nevinson worked at this hospital after returning from the front and was also treated there. These drawings must be some of the earliest he made of the war. This copy belonged to a sergeant who contributed to the book.
