Louise Townsend Nicholl writes to the American impressario and lecture manager James B. Pond regarding publication of a book, "All right -- go ahead. I think the book should be brought out quickly if at all, so I'll just leave it in your hands." Signed in full "Louise Townsend Nicholl". Folded for mailing with several creases and chips to the bottom edge and a small tear along the fold at left. The top left corner is slightly creased with some faint stains from a paper clip. Good. The American poet and editor Louise Townsend Nicholl (1890-1981) was a friend of Louise Bogan and Gore Vidal. She was an editor at E.P. Dutton, and worked at "The New York Evening Post" as well as at "Contemporary Verse" and "Measure".
