Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Illustrations: Dave Willardson (illustrator). Not a book but a two-record set of 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm stereo vinyl LPs, Chess 2CH 60023, near-mint vinyl in a very-good-plus gatefold cardboard jacket (which has been neatly clipped to bottom corner) listing Chuck's 1955-1966 Chess Records discography to centerfold. (Record describes itself to jacket as "stereo," though as some of these cuts are apparently original recordings from 1957-58 we have our doubts that they were all originally RECORDED in stereo.) Disc labels state "all selections are written by Chuck Berry" but jacket rear panel more correctly states all selections by Chuck Berry EXCEPT five selections including "Driftin' Blues" (Charles Brown, Moore, Williams), "Down the Road Apiece" (Raye), "Merry Christmas Baby" (Baxter, Moore), etc. A few of these 24 cuts are a bit obscure ("Run Rudolph Run"? "Jaguar and the Thunderbird"?) but these discs do offer "Carol," "You Never Can Tell," "Sweet Little Rock and Roller," "Little Queenie," etc. Reduced from $18.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. T. L. B. Huskinson (illustrator). This is "Phineas Finn" by Anthony Trollope. It is the Oxford University Press hardcover edition, issued in 1977, and is embellished with the line drawings of T. L. B. Huskinson. The book has an introduction by Shane Leslie. A small impression on the rear cover tells us that this is a book club edition. "Phineas Finn" is the second of Trollope's 'Palliser Novels', and is a thorough satirical send-up (but a joyously sympathetic one) of Parliamentary Politics and English societal culture that formed around Politics. Politics with a capital P were close to Trollope's heart, and in this novel he brings a clear view of Parliamentary shennanigans to the surface. SERIES : The Palliser Novels (No. 2) TITLE : Phineas Finn (bound as 2 volumes in one) AUTHOR : Anthony Trollope (1815 - 1882) PREFACE : Sir Shane Leslie (Sir John Randolph Leslie, 3rd Baronet, 1885 - 1971) Leslie was an Anglo-Irish diplomat and writer who championed Home Rule for Ireland. He was a first cousin of Sir Winston Churchill. NOTES & WHO'S WHO : R. W. Chapman (at the end of the book) ILLUSTRATIONS : T. L. B. Huskinson IMPRINT : Oxford University Press PLACE : Oxford DATE : (1977) EDITION : Third Printing - Issued through a Book Club (a wee stamped impression on the rear cover indicates this) DETAILS : Hardcover Book; approximately 4 7/8" x 7 1/4", brown, cloth-covered boards and spine with gilt lettering against a red panel on the spine; top text-block edge dyed dark brown; contains a Preface and line illustrations; vermilion end-papers; 705 pages. CONDITION -- BOOK : VERY GOOD --- JACKET : VERY GOOD -- This is a previously owned book that remains clean and presentable, with the following particulars noted : BOOK CLUB ISSUE. EXTERIOR -- Boards and spine have good color and negligible wear; gilt lettering is bright; text-block top edge is somewhat rubbed, else edges are clean. BINDING -- The book has obviously been read, and thus the text-block is not as tight as when issued, however, the binding remains solid, with no detached or loose leaves. INTERIOR -- A small number of creased leaf tips, else the interior is clean and free of marking. No signatures. DUST-JACKET _ Modest wear to jacket edges (chipping and nicking - most obvious at the spine panel extremities; front flap has a crease to the lower corner tip - else jacket is crisp and clean with but near-negligible signs of handling.
