The plates are hand-numbered in pencil in the upper right corner and some are duplicate numbers, including a second #15 inserted at about #42 and still firmly attached: both #15s seem to be in the correct positions, comparing text and picture. (illustrator). Two loose plates have thin lines of foxing along the top or bottom edge. One plate is carefully colored in in pencil, and two plates partially colored. Hardcover in a heavy scotch plaid cloth with a paper label (quite a handsome little book); 7.7x6" oblong, not page numbered, about 185 p. With 51 plates from pen drawings by Galvan'. The basis of the book is the 51 plates from drawings by Galvan, on heavy white stock; facing each plate, on much lighter blue stock is a page of descriptive text, preceded by a title. Condition VG, with these flaws: the heavy stock seems to be held in place by the thinnest bead of glue: several plates have come free (and these show no signs of attachment method). The plates are hand-numbered in pencil in the upper right corner and some are duplicate numbers, including a second #15 inserted at about #42 and still firmly attached: both #15s seem to be in the correct positions, comparing text and picture.
