Inscription of 'W. H. Numsen, Baltimore, MD, April 1895' to FFEP. Numsen was a Baltimore cannery, identifying with his sons as 'Preservers, Picklers, Oyster Packers, etc.' He was also an amateur astronomist, publishing a notice in 'The Astronomical Journal' on 'Occultation of Jupiter' in 1889. 'Sepharial' was the Enochian pen name of Walter Gorn Old, a prominent English Theosophist and astrologer.
