One of the most challenging areas in reconstructive surgery to emerge in the last decade has been microneurovascular surgery. The experimental work described and fully illustrated in this book provides a sound technical basis for the application of these surgical techniques. It also contains detailed information on the precise instrumentation required and an explanation of the pathophysiology of microvascular occlusion. These techniques whilst they have originated in the field of reconstructive surgery, will become increasingly important in all branches of surgery.
