Finely printed on Mohawk Superfine paper by The Stinehour Press. Over 80 illustrations printed by The Meriden Gravure Company. From the publisher: "In 1927, The Derrydale Press exploded like a meteor on the American Sporting Scene. When the Press was closed in 1942 it was to the dismay of sportsmen and bibliophiles alike. It had, however, left a brilliant legacy of fine sporting books and prints, plus a few items done privately which have set the standard in the field. No other publisher to date has equaled the output of Eugene V. Connett III's brainchild. Until now, there has never been a comprehensive bibliography of The Derrydale Press. This is not only the first book to list all of the Derrydale Press books, but it also includes all of the books produced by Mr. Connett both prior to Derrydale and afterward. In all, there are 242 titles listed chronologically in precise bibliographical style. Photographic illustrations are lavishly interspersed. 'Points,' DeLuxe editions, spurious items and the degree of rarity are fully covered. All of the authors and artists as well as more than 300 persons associated with The Derrydale Press are listed. There are brief biographies, portraits and facsimile signatures of the major contributors." Also includes: EUGENE V. CONNETT III: A BRIEF BIOGRAPHY by Stephen Ferguson; EUGENE V. CONNETT AND HIS USE OF DEVICES; ERNEST R. GEE AND HIS CONTRIBUTIONS; THE PAIN AND PLEASURE OF DERRYDALE COLLECTING by F. Phillips Williamson; THE ANGLER'S CLUB OF NEW YORK; etc. Appendix A: THE CARE OF BOOKS. Appendix B: BUYING AND SELLING. Short title index. Subject index. Bound in the original gilt-stamped red cloth. Encuadernación de tapa blanda. Condition: Bien. Edit. Anagrama, S.A.,1971 Barcelona. Traducción de Joaquín Jordá. 200p. 8º (18,5x11,5cm).
