Copy is in fair to good condition. Some wear to the decorated red cloth boards. The book itself appears to be a compendium of the original work printed in 1866 with the son's later appendix. The damp staining to the bottom front corner of the preliminaries does not occur in the main body of the work, but reappears at the Appendix. This suggests that the original 1866 work was bound to an appendix that had already been stained. The paper of the two sections is markedly different. Curious, that. In any event, aside from the damp staining, the interior is clean and unmarked and the binding is solid and secure. Extremely scarce.
