No date shown for publication (c.1970). Book 1 of a trilogy. The central character, Hoppity Hare, was, in real life, a national personality. In 1968 she appeared on the BBC "Blue Peter" program, sitting up drinking from her milk bottle, begging for jam butties, opening her tin of Yeast Vite tablets and performing a series of leaps and bounds across the stage. This little book has been written at two reading levels, in the form a countryside ramble. The poetry, paintings, and infants' drawings will be easily identified and understood by the younger children, while the narrative is more for grown-ups and older children. The story is presented first followed by children's poetry and pictures. Condition: Near Fine; Previous owner gift inscription also inside front cover.; no other text marks; very light shelf wear; tiny spot to front near bottom of spine. Signed by Author(s).
