Asistió a la escuela coránica , entonces Blanchot universidad de St. Louis , la Escuela Normal William Ponty de Goree , y fue uno de los primeros estudiosos de los estudios universitarios en Francia, donde estudió medicina veterinaria . En París, él pertenecía al grupo de jóvenes intelectuales negros que fundaron el movimiento de entreguerras de la negritud . En 1935, hizo su debut en la literatura con Karim, senegaleses novela, acerca de un joven en la intersección de las dos culturas, el libro le valió el Gran Premio 1947 de Literatura en el África occidental. En 1937 se publicó Mirages de París, novela semi-autobigraphique sobre el amor imposible de un Negro y francés. Escribió en 1938 Cuentos y leyendas de África Negro, basados ??en la literatura oral de su país. Volver a Senegal, que publicó en 1948 Rhythms Khalam (la Khalam es una guitarra de Senegal), una colección de poemas, cantar de gesta de África, y en 1953 fundó la revista literaria en Dakar Bingo. También estuvieron presentes en la escena política, fundó en 1956 la Unión del Movimiento Socialista de Senegal (USME), que se fusionó con el Bloque Popular Senegalés (BPS). En la víspera de la independencia, entre 1958 y 1959, fue nombrado Ministro de Planificación en el gobierno liderado por Mamadou Dia . SOCE fue Embajador de Senegal ante las Estados Unidos y delegar en la ONU , pero se convierten casi ciego, tuvo que retirarse en 1968 . También fue alcalde de Rufisque 1936-1945 y 1960-1964 .Ousmane SOCE murió el 27 de octubre 1973 en el Dakar. Size: 19x12cm.
