This debut effort concerns the jungle of a fictional South American country (which crops up again in Packer's later fiction), Nazi war criminals, lots of brothels, and a "Nazi victim's monstrous revenge". Published in the UK as "Doctor Caro", this is a fine copy of the first printing in a very near fine dust jacket with a hint of wear to extremities.
