All'occhietto e all'ultima pagina bianca timbri di censura del prof. Giuseppe Mercanti censore della Diocesi di Modena e del prof. Giovanni Bianchi censore degli Stati Estensi. L'opera fu appositamente stampata da Bodoni, con grande cura ed eleganza, per le nozze della principessa di Parma. La versione italiana è per opera del padre carmelitano Luca Antonio Pagnini (1737-1814), grecista insegnante a Parma e Pisa, particolarmente apprezzato proprio per le sue traduzioni di gusto neoclassico. ĞSi può dire che sia un libro nel quale Bodoni volle fare degli esperimentiğ (Brooks, p. 84): l'editore, infatti, per l'occasione impresse quattro edizioni, differenti per il formato e per i caratteri impiegati.
