Despite his early death from Hodgkin's disease, his poetry is now recognized as some of the most radical of the Dada movement. Les chercheurs actuels tendent à mettre l'accent sur la singularité de son uvre, à l'instar de Jean-Pierre Longre, qui le définit ainsi : "avant-gardisme mais pas tout à fait, dadaïsme mais sans l'influence de Tzara qu'il connaîtra après avoir écrit beaucoup de ses textes, avant de contribuer à la disparition du mouvement et de disparaître lui-même prématurément, originalité fondée sur la liberté et la lucidité". *** De fait, Clément Pansaers n'a pas vraiment revendiqué l'étiquette Dada. Ses textes recèlent toutefois un génie inventif qui a contribué à irriguer ce mouvement luxuriant. ***.
