Autograph letter signed, 1 1/2 pages (both sides), 8,5 x 10,75 inch, personal stationery, Berlin-Reinickendorf-West, 20.12.1916, in French, to French civil engineer Gustave Eiffel (1832-1923) - Parseval thanks him for sending his book on resistance which interested him at the highest point, written and signed in blue ink "Avon Parseval", with a few small tears along the edges, and intersecting letter folds with a separation along the central horizontal fold - in fine to good condition. Avon Parseval" Translated: "Sir, Thank you very much for your very kind mailings of December 3rd and 12th which have reached me. Your book on resistance interests me at the highest degree. However I found it difficult to distinguish clear between good and bad experiences. I believe, moreover, that the results of Institutes like yours and that of Göttingen are worthy of full confidence. I've had a lot of pleasure of the beautiful photographs especially of the one which shows your portrait. Please accept, Sir, the assurance of my very distinguished sentiments. Avon Parseval".
