Portfolio. Condition: Near Fine. Light shelf wear on the folder. The three booklets are almost new. ; Color and B&W Photographs; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; This is a portfolio of material, produced in 1989 by Partners for Economic Progress, Inc. For the city of Chattanooga TN. I think the material in this portfolio formed the basis for the transformation of downtown Chattanooga that has occurred over the last two decades, including the Tennessee acquarium, Riverwalk Park, the new Market Street Bridge and much of the construction and reconstruction that has made Chattanooga a new place. The portfolio has three 8 1/2 X 11 booklets: Current Data, Chattanooga Tennessee - a spiral bound book on all aspects of Chattanooga at the time; 1989, The Case for Economic Progress a spiral bound booklet outlining, with numbers and charts, the economic needs of the city; and Chattanooga Tennessee, the natural choice! - a proposed promotional brochure showing Chattanooga to its best advantage. I do not know if this brochure was ever used. Business cards for Robert E. McAuley and Sue Knapp are also included. This portfolio belonged to one of the members of the committee that worked on the project and is a significant piece of Chattanooga history.
