Hardback. Condition: New. The aim of this short book is to present the elements of a systematic theory of certain types of finitely additive probability measures on a set of positive integers. The conventional name of this measures is «density» with an adjective. Every set of positive integers is finite or infinite countable. It is, thus, impossible to consider a sigma additive probability measure defined on a certain class of the sets of positive integers, which could distinguish between the finite and infinite sets of positive integers. The greatness of the first is negligible. From the point of view of cardinality, the second has the same greatness. If we want to consider the measure of greatness, which could divide the sets of positive integers from a certain aspect of their structure, it is more convenient to consider the finitely additive measure. We shall study four most known types of these set functions. One of the important rules in the set of positive integers is played by the relation to divisibility, thus our main attention is devoted to the connection between density and this relation. We try to derive some known results from the basic definitions.

Studie vyznamneho slovenskeho literarneho kritika nadvazuju na dvojzvazok Svet literatury, literatura sveta I a IIT a publikaciu Nemecke siluety. Po studiach autorov angloamerickej, ruskej, francuzskej a nemeckej literatury v tychto knihach sme pripravili dalsi subor literarno-kritickych studii, ktore vznikali koncom patdesiatych, v sestdesiatych a zaciatkom sedemdesiatych rokov. Texty vychadzali bud v periodikach alebo boli sucastou knizneho vydania. Niektore musel autor, ako rezimu neprijemna osobnost, uverejnovat pod pseudonymom a tak vlastne touto publikaciou je prvy raz zverejnene jeho autorstvo. obsahuje studie autorov: Jeana-Jacqua Rousseaua, Stendhala, Romaina Rollanda, Marcela Prousta, Friedricha Schillera, Thomasa Manna, Franza Werfela, Franza Kafku, Friedricha Durrenmatta, Henrika Ibsena, Fiodora Michajlovica Dostojevskeho, Antona Pavlovica Cechova, Axela Muntheho, Daniela Defoa, Thomasa Wolfeho, Ernsta Hemingwaya a Karla Capka. Understanding the Bouguer Anomaly: A Gravimetry Puzzle addresses the geophysical and geodetic applications of gravity field interpretation, taking into account the evaluation of the Bouguer anomaly. Containing several contributions that deal with persistent questions in gravity data processing and providing verified workflows, the book covers historical and practical aspects of the Bouguer anomaly. Geophysicists and exploration geologists will gain advanced knowledge in gravimetry, physical geodesy and an understanding of the evaluation and impact of the Bouguer anomaly in gravity field measurement.
