O'Neill Pearson's paper on Furness Abbey, read before the Cumberland and Westmorland Antiquarian and Archaeological Society, at Carlisle, on the 18th April 1907.In this essay, Pearson discusses the dispute between the Abbots of Furness and Savigny, in the light of twelfth century documents in Paris.Furness Abbey is a former monastery in Cumbria, a now-ruin, which dates back to 1123.Illustrated with three plates.Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Light marks to the cloth. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Front endpaper is working loose. Author's inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, binding is strained in places, the textblock is working loose from the binding, and the title page is detached but present.
