Hardcover. Condition: Good. Color and Black & White Illustrations (illustrator). This copy has seen much use and shows signs of wear at the corners. Some pages have small tears at the bottom edge and the title page has an old repair at the bottom spine edge, but is well bound and still nice overall. 6.5 X 9" 398 pages. Drawing, painting, design, color, modeling, and handicraft are each an important element in art. This book includes the fruit of many years' experience in both teaching and professional practice. The majority of the pages have very charming 1930s style illustrations with only enough reading matter to unify the illustrations. For the beginner, though he be of mature years, the first chapters contain important foundations with each succeeding chapter presenting progressive suggestions for the teacher and the student, and guidance for the parent desiring an interesting form of vocational art study for the young artist.
