"When the City of Providence published its twenty-one volumes of The Early Records of the Town of Providence, only a few copies of Vol. XXI were printed. Consequently many sets of these important records lack this last volume, which is especially valuable since it is the "Second Part of the Second Book for the Recording of Deeds and called Deed Book No. 2". The earliest date is 3 Feb 1661 and the latest date is 12 Mar. 1712/13. Prehaps the red boards are underneath. This set is the only set with an index to all the volumes. This is an Ex-Library set given to the New England Historic Genealogical Society, the earlier volumes were given by one of the authors Horatio Rogers. A great reference set.
