Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. **Bundle Up & Save On Postage** A very attractive hard cover copy with gilt decorations and titles, also including a jacket but not really a dust jacket as it does not have flaps and is probably the cover from the paperback run. 50 hardcover copies were printed in 1996 along with 950 paperback copies. With gift inscription from the author dated June 1996 on front end page. Very clean and beautifully bound, without flaw. 6 X 9" 200 pages. These poems were written over a period of about 40 years since the author was about eighteen. The poems are about the loves and life of a sentimental man, a Glasgow-born Scot, a mechanical engineer specialist, with ties to West Vancouver and Hornby Island. As he writes: "The words come rolling down the glen - It only happens now and then, But when it does, I tell ye I have to write them!" With some black/white photographs. Inscribed by Author(s).

İ 2022: A stand-alone novel by Peng Shepherd. 1st edition, 1st printing in association with Goldsboro Books. Special Limited, Numbered & Signed Edition - #723 of 1500. Signed to dedicated Limitation Page by the author. Stencilled blue sprayed page edges. Protected by a new, removable, clear cover:- Synopsis: There are some maps you can lose yourself in. Nell Young has lived her life in and around maps. Her father, Dr David Young, was one of the most respected cartographers in the wolrd. But this morning he was found dead - or murdered? - in his office at the New York Public Library. Nell hadn't spoken to her father in years, ever since he fired her after an argument over a seemingly worthless highway roadside map. A map which was mass-produced - and every copy of which is now being found and destroyed, But why? To answer that question, Nell will embark on a dangerous journey into the heart of a conspiracy beyond belief, the secrets behind her family, and the true power that lies in maps.:- Review(s): "'The Cartographers' is a story about Art and Science: where they meet, how they both enrich our lives, and how each defines the other. And it's a book about the mystery, history, and ineffable romance of maps" / "Exquisitely written" - Brad Thor / "A vastly rich experience" - Charles Soule:- (original cost unmarked).
