Paper. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. An Original Handwritten and Typed Letter by Writer Percy Westerman. Dated 1951. A letter about his autograph. Signature clipped away from the original letter. Percy Francis Westerman 1876 - 1959 was an English author of children's literature, with a prolific output. Many of his books are adventure stories with military and naval themes. Size is 180mm x 135mm. In good condition Separated and folding creases. Ref 19059. Signed by Author(s).

E. S. Hodgson (illustrator). Blue cloth with dark blue lettering and pictorial spine. Illustrated with six plates. 320 pages, 6 X 8 inches, A good copy with some wear to the corners and a few short tears in the cloth at the head of the spine.Inscription on the front free endpaper. no dustwrapper.

T. Cuneo (illustrator). Green cloth with black letterring, 254 pages, plus two pages of ads, Illustrated with 6 colour plates and also line drawings by T Cuneo. 5.25 X 7.5 inches. A very good copy, with a brief prize inscription on the front free endpaper dted 1943, and a little browning and spotting to the page edges, internally quite clean throughout, no dustwrapper.

Blue cloth with black titles and black/orange pictures to spine and front cover. 4 b/w plates. 256 pages. SIGNED by author on title page. Spine and corners are bumped and worn. Wear to cover edges. Marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Split next to joint next to title page. frontis is partially detached. A few gatherings ar starting to come a little loose. INSCRIBED by PERCY F WESTERMAN on front endpaper To Timmy Carter with best wishes from Percy F Westerman June 1936 no other date in book. Endpapers are slightly browned little light foxing on title page, other pages are overall clean just light foxing to outer side edges of pages which comes in very slightly on some pages. Frontispiece has been detached at some time but is now neatly stuck back in, on rear of frontispiece and page opposite there is brown strip where selotape was used in past to attach the illustration SEE IMAGE, frontispiece has a few light marks. Outer illustrated boards are clean with very light rubbing on edges, little wear top and bottom of spine. A pleasing copy of a collectable book especially with signature SEE IMAGES. Hard back binding in publisher's original black and yellow printed sage green cloth covers illustrating two fighting divers wearing copper diving helmets, black and yellow title and author lettering to the spine and to the front cover. 8vo. 8'' x 5½''. Contains 224 printed pages of text with 8 (as called for) full-page monochrome illustrations. Spine sun faded and in Good clean condition, no dust wrapper.
