30x25 cm. 1/4 cloth folder with plain boards with 22 leaves laid in unbound. Boards are worn with water stains at edges. Each of the leaves has one large (25x20 cm.) mounted photographic image of multiple medals, plaques and other objects with subjects in relief. Complete, as the title page calls for 22 plates. No text. In spite of being published in New York, all of the objects depicted appear to be French. OCLC 1430566754 lists one similar item with the same title and publisher (1 loc., Providence Public Library) but that issue calls for 25 plates with the date and place of publication unspecified. In the present copy the place and date are clearly identified.
