Hardcover. Condition: Very good. third edition. 8 x 10 in. 510 plus pp. Lavish photo plates. Library style binding of black cloth, but not ex-library. Condition is VERY GOOD ; covers clean, light wear to corners and spine ends. Binding tight. A few spots on endpapers, text clean and unmarked. NE. Stax.

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. 188 pages, profusely illustrated with photos. Bright red cloth binding, gilt lettering, beveled edges. This is the true first edition and scarce thus; it was later enlarged to cover Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard and published in 1898. This is a near fine copy with just a few smudges on the cover but quite unworn and no owner names. Offsetting to first free end paper where a piece of paper once lay.
