John Kroon (1881-1968) var från 1913 direktör för Malmö grafiska anstalt och från 1919 för Malmö ljusttrycksanstalt, vilka båda under hans ledning ryckte fram till en ledande ställning och rönte stor uppskattning - även utomlands - för sina reproduktonsverk (bland annat faksimilutgåvor av Codex argenteus 1927 och Bouchers handteckningar i Nationalmuseum).
